Frank King political cartoon

Before becoming famous for his Gasoline Alley strip, the first strip in which characters aged in realtime, Frank King did political cartoons for the Minneapolis Times starting in 1901. Before seeing this piece in person, I wasn't much of a King fan, but there's something about this piece that grew on me. Maybe it's the R. Crumb-Keep On Truckin'-ness of the Uncle Sam, or King's overall style, or the way the subject matter resonates with modern times.
