The middle three panels on this page reminded me so much of Gene the Dean Colan's Dracula and John Buscema's Mephisto that I couldn't pass it up. Like the other Pacheco pages seen here, I bought it from Jim Warden at San Diego, 2001.

Jim had this stunning 3/4 splash hanging up in his booth. Not wanting to spend all my money on preview night, I passed on this. It wasn't until Friday morning that I came to my senses and realized that if I didn't grab it soon, someone else would. The Gray Gargoyle on the lampport is cool, but check out the horizontal panel with the Thing--the detail is amazing.

Great battle scene with Kang and the aliens from, wasn't it an issue of the Silver Surfer? I dunno, but that top panel reminds me of Kang's appearance in Avengers #8.
