Batman 622 p.19

It's easy to see why Eduardo Risso signed this page--(he signs pages he's pleased with). From the drama of that upper panel to the shilouettes of the dummy in the next two panels, to Batman (ya gotta love the upturned dealies on his cape!) and the happy machine gun boys.... I mean, wow. What a page.

Batman 623 p.16

Bats in positive and negative silhouette. The kid's tears streaming down his face in white against a totally shadowed head. The dead hands seemingly reaching out to each other. And the proverbial aerial view of Bats in the glow of the street light. Sheesh. How cool is this page? One of the 9 Rissos I picked up at Comic-Con 2004. Thanks, Mr. E.

Batman 624 p.12

The cars, boss. The cars. And the Fat Man. And Bat's face... Another dramtic ballet of light and shadow. I just love everything about this page.

Batman 625 p.9

The best of the Joker pages, IMHO. The lower left most panel is a stat, but who cares? This page rocks. My pal Bill didn't care for the way Risso drew the Joker as a runt, but I think it makes him more sinister somehow. Love the alternating Joker/Batman heads and the way each frame gets closer to the imaginary camera.
