PEP 150 p.15

I have fond memories of Rosenberger's Jaguar, which was one of the earliest comics I owned. So I was delited to stumble upon this puppy at Alan Bahr's booth at S.D. Heroes is my local comic shop, and I thought I'd seen all the art Alan brought to the show previously, but there on the floor was this Jaguar page. Scotty Moore helped set the price for us. Turns out he's got, erm, he had the splash to this very issue in his collection. Check out the alien's and Jaguar's dialog. Comics of the early 60s were just a tad different from those of today, eh?

PEP 150 p.15

AfteAAfter selling me the two pages from Jaguar #4 seen here, my pal Scotty Moore offered me this splash to go with the interior page I scored from this same issue at S.D. 2003. Of course, I couldn't say no. Interestingly, Bob Powell's name is written on the back of the page, but clearly this is Rosenberger--no one does aliens with beedy little eyes like Rosenberger.

Jaguar 4 p.1

Sheesh, Guess comic art is like potato chips--no one can eat just one. Or in this case, just one Rosenberger wasn't enough. Bought this beauty, the companion splash to page 4, from who else? über Rosenberger collector Scotty Moore just 6 months after getting the PEP 150 page. Thanks, Scotty.

Jaguar 4, pg. 4

Rosenberger's aliens and robots are unmistakeable and funky.
