Dr. Strange 11, p.18 Tom Palmer inks

Picked his puppy up on eBay from fellow Colanut Glen Gold. This page has everything a Colan fan could ask for--the two main characters and the main bad guy, the right inker, and of course the Dean's own handiwork.

Doctor Strange 8 , p. 17 Tom Palmer inks

My wife and kids made Christmas 2001 pretty unforgettable by surprising me with this Colan/Palmer beauty featuring Clea, Doc Strange, and the Mindless ones. Purchased from Alan Bahr.

Dr. Strange 19, p.2 Gene Colan inks

This is from the last issue of Doc Strange the Dean drew, and as if to give us fans something else to savour it by, he inked it himself. I first spotted this piece on eBay--the seller was in Germany. Dan Goudreau beat me to the bid, but sold it to me not long after. Thanks, again, Dan.

Daredevil 25, pg. 15, Frank Giacoia inks

I've been after a Colan 2x DD page for quite a while, so when Gene and Adrienne showed up at S.D. 2004 with stacks of art for sale, I set about finding this puppy. Thanks to my pal Jeremy Radisich for helping me select this page over a couple of other contenders. What's not to love about this page? It's got Karen, Foggy, the Leap Frog, DD, and Mike Murdoch on it fer cryin' out loud! Thanks, G&A.

Captain America 136, pg. 16, Bill Everett inks

Talk about amazing finds. In addition to Everett's sumptuous inks over Colan's pencils (they're what drew me to this page), the page features the Mole Man, Cap, the Falcon, and Tony Stark! If only that first panel weren't so funky (it's a paste-over that's obviously been blown up and it be ugly!). Another pickup from the Colan's at S.D. 2004.

Captain America 127, pg. 6, Wally Wood inks

I've long wanted a page from this story, the only time Wood inked Gene Colan's pencils, so when Glen Gold put this one up for sale, I grabbed it. Thanks, Glen!
