Dracula Lives 1, pg.? Tom Palmer inks

My only Drac page. Bought from Tomb of Dracula-obsessed collector , Tom Field, who in turn got it from Mike Burkey.

Harrowers 2, p.1 Al Williamson inks

I bought all of these Harrowers pages from Pete Koch via eBay. I'd stopped collecting comics before Gene drew these issues for DC, but they show they don't call him the Dean for nothing. And if ya can't have either Tom Palmer or Gene Colan inking Gene Colan, Al Williamson does a mighty fine job of turning the Dean's tight and highly detailed pencils into B&W line art.

Harrowers 2, .23 Al Williamson inks

John Bryne reportedly dumped on Gene Colan publicly during a panel discussion at a convention for resorting to drawing "swirly lines" instead of detail. Mr. Byrne, I respectfully submit that I'm the proud custodian of this fine example of Colan's swirly lines. As someone said, you just can't get these swirly things from reference!

Nathaniel Dusk 3, p.31

No Colan collection would be complete without an uninked pencil page, so when Gene and Adrienne put this up for sale, I couldn't pass it up. Thanks G&A!

Harrowers 4, p.10 Williamson inks

Another great example of the Dean's ability to break up the paneled page in unusual ways, creating visual excitement and dynamism.

Harrowers 4, p.18 Williamson inks

This was the first Harrowers page I acquired. It's also my first Colan splash page. Love that big face in the electronic billboard, and love the power of the headless monster guy.
