The Justicar Trilogy (featuring Escalla) by Paul Kidd

        -  Features a female faerie mage named Escalla.  This is a great series, made me laugh quite a few times.  Escalla is one of my all time favourite novel characters.  Also features Lolth, the Drow elves' main goddess.  Its geared a bit more to the older audience though (wouldn't recommend it for kids).
